The Stripper with the Educated Torso

Recent News

Great News! My screenplay "Major League Stripper" which was inspired by the book "Fan Letters to a Stripper; A Patti Waggin Tale," has been ACCEPTED into the Beverly Hills Film Festival Screen Writing Competition. This is really an honor since it is difficult to get acceptance to these film fests. Getting into a prestigious one such as the BHFF is really exciting. We'll pass along any updates as the BHFF is still months away. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter at @bobbrillla.

"Hi! I received the book yesterday and I only have one word: WOW! I never dreamed of having such a beautiful and fascinating book about Patti...And to now have a book to read to finally learn a bit more about Patti. Thank you very much for this book! I can’t wait to read the other two!" -- Bert, Montreal

"I just wanted to say that I love the book and I'm very happy about it. Patti is one of my favorite burlesque queen but I knew practically nothing about her so I can't wait for the next one" -- Nathalie, Montreal

Our NORCAL Book Signing trip was a success. Four cities in Four days and lots of interviews on radio, TV and in newspapers.

We signed and sold books at the Hubba Hubba Burlesque Review in Oakland where we met some fine burlesquers and a good time was had by all. The good folks at KPAY Radio in Chico (Matt Ray & Christina Craven in the morning) were great and lively and a nice article appeared in the Chico Enterprise Record courtesy of Kyra Evans.

In Sacramento we spoke with Jeffrey Callison of California Public Radio for 15 minutes "live" on the air on"Insight" which was super. Here is the link although they provided the entire show and we are in middle right before comedian Louie Anderson. You'll have to check it out. We also had a fun interview with Mary Jane Popp of KAHI Radio in Auburn.

The Sacramento Bee and the Bakersfield Californian had nice items on our book and our tour as well as the ABC TV in Bakersfield (KBAK TV) gave us a two minute live interview on their morning show which was great fun as well.

The book stores included Barnes & Noble in Chico. Thanx to you all!

A great time was had by all and we want to thank everyone who took the time to stop by our booth and chat about Patti Waggin. Many of you showed interest in the book and we were very pleased at the number of younger performers and fans who were really enthused about Patti and the fact the book on her is coming out. Again we thank you.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JENIFFER LYONS who won the Patti Waggin poster which features the cover of our book.
